1.		Call to Order – Cindy Walker, Chairperson.

2.		Invocation – Rev. Gary Curtis, Pastor, Green River Baptist Church.
     
3.		Pledge of Allegiance – Tommy W. Melton, Veteran and Commissioner.  
     
4.		Approval of Regular Board of Commissioner minutes for February 23, 2009.

5.		Approval of Agenda – You may add/delete an item from the agenda at this time. 

6.	     Schedule Public Hearing – Department of Transportation. Jewell Carswell, Director will 
	be present to schedule the Public Hearing for the FY09-10 Community Transportation 
	Grant Application, Monday March 16, 2009 @7:00 pm. 

7.	Polk County Water Department/Inman Campobello – Jeff Walker will provide an 
	overview of Polk County’s southern water system.

8.        Personnel Policy due to changes in the federal FMLA regulations. Pat Thomas,
	MAPS Group, who updated the Personnel Policy, has forwarded updates to 
	be included in the policy. The updates are in your packet.

9.  	Library Hours of operation – Mark Pumphrey, Director, will be present to discuss 
	additional hours of operation.

10.	Resolution – To support federal funding for staff of the Mountain Valleys Resource 
	Conservation & Development (RC&D). 

11.	Project Budget Ordinance – Senior Recreation Center and Building Addition. Sandra 
	Hughes, Finance Officer, will be present to answer questions.

12.  	Sheriff Donald Hill – (a) Request of reclassification of a position. (b) Purchase of Ford 
	Fusion vehicle.

13. 	County Manager’s Report – 1. Courthouse renovation celebration. 2.  Altamont’s 
	contract for erosion control at St. Luke’s Hospital. 3. DSS report on accident.  
	4.Purchase of 2 Ford Focus vehicles for DSS.
